Question
Asked a question last month

I am unable to set the default browser to Safari on my iPhone. I am using Covenant Eyes version 6.1.0.7.2 and iOS version 16.0.3. When I go into Settings -> Covenant Eyes -> Default Browser App the only option I see is Covenant Eyes instead of seeing both Covenant Eyes and Safari as options. With support for the new Safari extension on iOS devices I am eager to set Safari back as my default browser. By the way, thank you for making the Safari extension possible! I am extremely excited about that new feature!!!

Where am I?

Hello Jake.

Thank for your questions. It sounds like there may be a few different things going in with that iPhone. First if you are wanting to set Safari back as you default browser you will want to disable any restrictions within the Screen Time Settings of the iPhone that may have removed your ability to select the Safari app. In case it would be helpful I'll actually include a link to an article that walks you through accessing and setting up Screen Time Restrictions. You'll find that article here17

Additionally, once the Safari browser is once again accessible you will be able to take advantage of these recent changes and use the Covenant Eyes extension while browsing Safari. In case they would be helpful you can find instructions on how to set that up in this article here19

If you have any other questions or concerns just let us know and we'll be happy to assist. Thank you and have a great rest of your day.
