Asked a question last month

Hi, I find the app locking cumbersome. With every new app, the Ally or Guardian would have to enter the password on my mobile phone. Wouldn't it be easier to be able to permanently block certain apps, which can then only be removed by the Guardian, just like with the website block lists? There are apps that are a permanent threat to me and I would like to ban them permanently. Maybe this can be introduced in one of the next versions.

Where am I?

Hello Simeon.

Thanks for your question. I am sorry to hear that you find the app locking feature to be cumbersome. Unfortunately at this time our filtering service is website based rather than app based. However, I will say that if the app in question has a website component I might encourage adding that site to your blocklist as doing so may prevent said dangerous app from working properly if downloaded. Alternatively you could block the play store altogether through app locking. Obviously that is an extreme solution but I did want to mention it.

If neither of those suggestions are viable options then I do apologize. I'll be happy to submit you suggestion of blocking apps directly to my developers.

Thank you and have a great day.
