After consulting with my developers they were able to confirm that we are indeed compatible with Virtual Machines and have tested with Parallels in the past without issue. So assuming there are no other issues we shouldn't be affecting the connection on a virtual machine. However you said uninstalling Covenant Eyes resolves the issue. That would suggest to me that something else may be happening or interacting on the machine - whether third party software or something else.
