I find that CE does a good job restricting Mature videos on IOS YouTube app. However, on the desktop with Explorer and Chrome, the mature videos are not blocked by either CE or YouTube. Any ideas to fix other than to block YouTube?
There is one fundamental difference in how we protect youtube on iOS when compared to Windows. On iOS, we are able to lock restricted mode in youtube behind-the-scenes (which should, theoretically, be exactly the same as if you locked youtube's restricted mode on a Windows computer). I'm not quite certain why youtube's blocking on a desktop would function differently, but as we don't have that lock on our Windows platform, we don't lock videos as thoroughly there.
Let me ask you a few questions: 1. What version of Covenant Eyes are you using? 2. What is your filter level set to? 3. Just to be sure, youtube.com or any similar urls are not in your allow list, correct? (similar examples include things like youtu.be or other urls youtube may use to host videos)
@Mark, If you have one of your dev's contact me, or contact me offline(not on this forum) I know of way's to lock down youtube but it would need to be a function added to one of the Covenant Eyes executables. (Actually I know of multiple ways)
