Windows 8 Phone Needs CE

I have a Windows phone and updated to 8.1.  I am begging, BEGGING for a CE app for Windows phone.  Since the move towards "one operating system which rules them all" is in MS's future (Windows 10 is supposed to truly be a cross platform operating system) it would be good to start planning for this.  But that is at least two years away.  Please, make an app for the growing number of people using Windows phones.  PLEASE!

Thanks for taking the time to post Robert.

The good news is that Windows is looking to unify their mobile and desktop platforms, which could lead towards development on a Windows phone app for CE

The tough news is that there is no plan for this anytime soon, Windows phone is a really cool platform (I almost bought one myself) but for the moment it is beyond what we can do. Stay tuned tho, we would love to make one available as soon as we can

I want to second that request. We just got windows phone (8.1) and
want to be able to put CE on it. The phone is working great, and we
are thinking about encouraging our family to go that direction -
having CE available is something we really want. Thanks.

Hi Rhett,
Thanks for the post! Unfortunately, there are still compatibility differences between the Windows platform on desktops and laptops and the Windows platform for phones. This creates a situation where our Windows development team cannot easily create a solution that works on the Windows phones as well. We'd like to provide a solution for all devices on the market, but realistically, we don't have the means to do that. I know it's frustrating to have a device that Covenant Eyes isn't compatible with - it's frustrating for us as well, but currently, we are unable to provide coverage for Windows phones.
