Why is the eye closed when CE is running on mac?

The eyeball is remaining closed on my macbook pro and on another iMac that I maintain.  I have checked for all updates, but am not told I need any.  CE is active, and I can access the web with no problems.  Just not sure why the eye in the toolbar remains closed.  I have logged out and in again,  checked preferences and refreshed CE.  Any ideas?  Obviously this is a minor irritation, but it's not the way it's supposed to work either.

Craig,

Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We have received a couple of reports of people experiencing a similar issue.

Does the eye in the Menu Bar ever open for you after signing out and back in? Also do you know what version of Mac OS X is installed on your Mac as well as the version of Covenant Eyes that is installed?

You can determine the Mac OS X version by clicking the Apple in the Menu Bar and selecting About This Mac.

To determine what version of Covenant Eyes is installed, click the eye icon in the Menu Bar and select About Covenant Eyes.

This information will help us determine our next course of action concerning this bug for you and others who may be affected by it.

Thanks again for sharing this with us!

This time it worked when I logged out and back in again.  The CE version is 2.8.1.  Mac OS is 10.10.4.  This is the new Mac OS update, but this issue was there with CE before I updated yesterday.

Thanks - Craig

Thanks for the information, Craig. I don't currently have an ETA as to when this will be resolved. However, I will post an update to this thread once a solution is in place.
