Please, someone with support. Assist me by sharing the fields that I need to fill in (see screenshot) to create my own covenant eyes VPN profile and install it with configurator to restrict disabling/deletion. If it's a different connection type than L2TP let me know and I can upload the screenshot for whatever...

Abe,

I appreciate your interest in this idea. I may not be tracking with you, so feel free to correct me, but it looks like the idea is to set up, on a Mac, a VPN through Covenant Eyes. If that's the case (again, I could be wrong on how I interpreted your material), then I have no information to share with you and  I'll explain why.

The VPNs we provide with our mobile apps are not traditional VPNs. Unlike traditional VPNs, which shield connections and "tunnel" to a specific IP address, our VPNs are local (on the device, device-only) for the sake of collecting browsing data. Our mobile app essentially creates a local tunnel so the "traffic camera" of Covenant Eyes monitoring can do its job.

This technology was created specifically for the unique way that mobile devices work. Because computers work in a different way, a way that does not require a VPN, we have not implemented the concept into our desktop clients. That's why I have no information to share with you for this idea.

If I misunderstood your question, please let me know.

Misunderstood. I want to put this VPN (that does exactly what yours does) on my device (iPhone) using Configurator 2 so that it is undeletable and can't be turned off. Bypassing CE's VPN on iOS is dead simple and takes three clicks. So, how do I recreate the same settings of the local VPN to watch my activity and report to CE, so that I can install it with an undetetable and untamperable profile?

Thanks for clearing that up. While I appreciate your pursuit, due to the proprietary nature of our non-traditional VPN, I can't divulge additional details about how it works and why your idea, while honorable, will not work at this time. I do applaud your effort to lock things down and will relay the essence of this thread to the Development team. In this particular battle new tools and concepts are always worth a look.

You guys should offer profiles that can be downloaded by users that are preconfigured with your "proprietary" vpn settings so that they can be put on supervised devices in an untamperable way. The current implementation, albeit due to Apple's restrictions, is a sad joke of a solution. I did recently talk to the Apple support level below the engineers and encouraged them to put the VPN settings behind the restrictions passcode wall. Something the representative seemed to see the merit in...
