Using Amazon Music, Kindle, and Shopping apps on Android

I recently installed CE on my Android device, and I have FilterGuard set at Everyone. I whitelisted amazon.com, kindle.amazon.com, and mp3.amazon.com, and I cannot open the Amazon Music and Kindle apps on my device.

I was able to whitelist todoist.com and rtribe.rtribe.com, and those worked as expected. I could open the apps once they were whitelisted. I'm wondering if there is another domain that I need to whitelist that I'm not aware of.

I'd rather not set my filterguard to higher than Everyone if I don't have to. I'd rather whitelist the apps/websites that I use on my device.

Hopefully someone in the community has a good solution to this.

Thanks!

Cy,

Thanks for reaching out and for using Covenant Eyes. Two things come to mind:

1) Sometimes, opening up a web page, or app, requires more than one URL. I would add "music.amazon.com" to the Allow list, refresh the Covenant Eyes app, and try again to use the Amazon Music app.

2) If you, or your Filter Guardian, implemented the App Lock feature, that's something that should be reviewed. It has the potential to lock down apps and, if it's being used, could explain what's going on.

If these items don't bring some progress, then please call us at 989-720-8000. Any member of the Customer Service team will be able to assist you.

Thanks again,

Robert
