I have been unable to update the latest iOS version. I can find CE in my settings but the app does not show up on the phone anywhere and the update only spins never to update. What is going on?

Hello G&B Reeves,

Thank you for your post and I apologize for the difficulties you've been experiencing. If our app is unable to update it could be for a couple of reasons. The data or wifi connection is not strong enough to run the install or there is a connection issue within the Apple App Store. There are a few things you can try to upgrade the Covenant Eyes app.

1. Restart your iOS device and re-try the install.
2. If you're using a data connection try connecting to wifi and run the install or vice versa.
3. Uninstall/reinstall the Covenant Eyes application.

If none of these suggestions solve the upgrade issue please feel free to contact our Customer Service at 877.479.1119.

Best regards,
Annelise

Annelise,

Thank you for your quick reply but none of this is my issue.

As I am still running CE v3.1 it has been a year since my last update.

  1. Restart your iOS device and re-try the install. Something I do on a regular basis already. I recommend this to everyone.
  2. If you're using a data connection try connecting to wifi and run the install or vice versa. Not a problem but yes already tried that.
  3. Uninstall/reinstall the Covenant Eyes application. As you can see the app cannot be found on the device for reinstall. Why would that be? Any suggestion on how to find and delete the ghost app data packet? Have you seen this before?

Hello,

If you're unable to locate the app at all on the phone outside of the 'Settings', I would then check your restrictions and make sure the app restriction is set for 17+ since that is the rating for Covenant Eyes inside of the App Store. Settings>General>Restrictions>Apps

Unfortunately, other than the app restrictions being set lower than 17+ we have not run into many issues where the app is not appearing on the home screen of the iPhone.

I hope this helps,
Annelise

I had the same issue and fixed it by raising my app restrictions to 17+. Thank you!
