Turn off screen recording

Is it possible to run covenant eyes without screen recording? I trust my accountability partners (I've been a Covenant Eyes member for well over 10 years), but I don't like the idea of images being recorded and sent to a central server, and I don't want this feature. Is it possible to run CE in a legacy or limited mode?

Mark,

Thank you for reaching out to us. It looks like your account was recently switched over to our Screen Accountability software. With the way technology is changing, Covenant Eyes decided that we needed to improve how accountability works to keep up with these changes. The images that we capture are immediately blurred before they get sent to our servers, so there is never a copy of an unblurred image.

Here is a support article that discusses how Screen Accountability works and may answer some questions/concerns you have about it:

https://www.covenanteyes.com/support-articles/screen-accountability-faq/

If you still think that Screen Accountability is not for you, there is a way to switch back to Internet Accountability. To switch back, you will need to log in to your account on our website. There will be a blue header at the top saying “You are using Screen Accountability”. To the right of that will be a box that says “Learn More”. Go ahead and click on that box. That will bring you to a new screen with a larger blue header. On the bottom of that header, there will be a box that says “Switch Back to Internet Accountability”. Clicking on that will switch your account back. After the switch has been made, you will need to refresh Covenant Eyes on your devices for the changes to take effect.

If you need any assistance in switching back or have any questions about Screen Accountability, feel free to call our Customer Support (877-479-1119) and we can help with that.
