School Wifi Issues

My kids school just started having bring your own device.  I got them all windows laptops.  They are reporting intermittent wifi issues and connecting.  The other kids in the class are not reporting the same issues.  Many of the other kids are using chromebooks, and probably not using CE.  I am not sure if it is a CE issue, but not sure if the filtering is slowing things down enough that it feels to them that they are not connected.  Can anyone give me tips or things for them to try.  I am not with them, so I am not sure what they are experiencing.  Thanks!

If the school has a portal that makes the user login before they use Wi-Fi it is possible they are not able to reach that portal..
I would go on the online dashboard and see what sites are being blocked. If you see the schools internal website being blocked or a WiFi portal that may be the issue.

Also as strange as it may sound the schools web content filter may be blocking connections to Covenant Eyes Servers.

In a perfect scenario the School’s Tech support could whitelist Covenant Eyes Servers.

I would also email Covenant Eyes Tech Support info@covenenanteyes.com or call them at 877-479-1119. They have solutions for different environments and situations.
