This is pretty very exciting folks,

Mac Beta Version 2.7.0b15

Here we go...

  • Adjusted Covenant Eyes' sensitivity to network Problems
You asked, we delivered. It's not even worth making a funny joke about this one. You should see major improvements with regards to the somewhat infamous "Network Down?" message.

  • Updated icons for Yosemite Dark Mode.
Ironically, this actually involved creating a "light" version of the icon...

  • Improved Error Reporting
Non-specific error messages have now gotten specific.

  • Improved hotspot sign in process.
Some like it hot, hot hot... (sorry)

Please feel free to visit covenanteyes.com/myaccount/downloads to check out this release. It is an open beta and is available to everyone. Many thanks to all of you for your patience as you waited for this release.

On Yosemite and no pop-up for YouTube videos. Looking good so far!

John, I'd like to report that after running this for the last few months, I've had no popups whatsoever and overall network performance has been working perfectly. Thank you so much and thank you to the crew that helped make this happen.

One small note: I was hoping that in addition to the Yosemite Dark Mode icon, the icon would also be made retina ready. It currently is not yet retina ready (see attached image—although screenshot is not as obvious as it is on an actual retina screen). This is as simple as adding a 2x version of the image and a slight note in the config file that this is a fully retina app.

If this could be added, that would be wonderful. Thanks for all the good work you all do!

Hey Jonathan,
Good news. We have released an update that addresses the dark mode icon. My macbook is not retina so I'm not sure about that but I can find out. To update, you can click the icon and select check for updates.

Hey Jake, thanks for the reply! Sorry, my post wasn't terribly clear. I'm running the latest CE and dark mode works just fine. I am simply wondering if the icon can be updated with retina icon options also. Thanks!

Sorry I misunderstood. I got in touch with our mac people and it turns out that we have the retina icon ready. It should be present in the next update.

To touch on this with a little more explanation real fast...

We made a retina version of the icon at the same time that we made it dark mode compatible... and then there was a lag in communication and it did not get included.

Ooops

Thanks for pointing this out

Are there still plans to include this in an upcoming release? It's the only icon in my menu bar left without a retina icon :(

I will second that.  It never did show up in any update as retina.  But it is such a simple fix that would go a long way!  Here's to hoping!

Edit: I'm running the latest release that dropped recently (v2.8.3)

Hey Guys,

This is still on the radar, but since I do not directly work for the Mac team I cannot say exactly when this will go through. Let me poke at it today and see if I can get an answer for you guys.
