Please add a whitelist feature.

A blacklist is okay. But I think it would be far more useful of a feature to be able to only allow certain sites.

As it is, I have a huge list of sites to blacklist now.

It would also be nice if we could upload a text document with each website on a separate line.

Hi Alphemhorse.
Thank you for your suggestion. At this time we are only able to offer a custom block list on Screen Accountability. However, I will happily pass your feedback along to our developers that an allow list would be very beneficial and helpful.

Thank you.

If a whitelist comes, it should be created with the restriction that the ally receives a notification/message that a page will be added, otherwise a new loophole will be created.

A whitelist only sounds like a great idea.  I think this should be seriously considered.  I would use it.

jakael02,

If you are using the original Internet Accountability service with Filtering, your Filter Guardian will have that option. He/she can set the Filter level to "Allowed List Only." It can be challenging to manage, but I know that, for some folks, it's a very good option.

If you are using Screen Accountability, then a whitelist is not currently available. However, the idea/request has been trickling in and our decision makers are monitoring all of the feedback.

If you have additional questions, feel free to post here, use our live chat service, or call us at 877.479.1119.

@Robert B - Thanks for the feedback.  I was not aware of the 'Allowed List Only' option.  It sounds very interesting and I'm going to see how it performs.  Appreciate the quick feedback.

I want to, again, give my support for a whitelist only feature.

This is the one feature I am waiting for to move to Screen Accountability. I really want to move to Screen Accountability so that my kids with mobile devices will have better accountability but my younger kids will still be restricted to the specific websites I want them to be able to use.

Is this feature in the works or is it not even being worked on yet? In other words, what is the status?

Hi Mark.
I agree with you and with others who have posted similar sentiments on this forum. A whitelist feature would be very beneficial. Unfortunately at this time I don't have any sort of official status update to give you. However, I can say that I have already taken the liberty of passing along your whitelist suggestion to our developers.

Thank you for your solid suggestion.
