Managed DNS address causing NordVPN to not work

I use NordVPN for privacy on my Windows 10 machine. When I go online without the VPN, I connect perfectly. When I switch on the VPN, I am unable to connect to the internet.

I *am* able to connect directly to web sites via their IP. (Ex. When I go to 198.252.206.140 the webpage will display a html version of the site.) This tells me it is probably a DNS problem.

NordVPN has a functionality where I can set a custom DNS, and I have tried adding 127.0.0.2, which is the DNS that Covenant Eyes says they use. However, this does not fix anything. I am not 100% sure that DNS is the one CE uses all the time. The website says it "manages" the DNS, which could mean it changes regularly.

Any suggestions on how I can use these programs together? Is there a way to make the DNS static using CE? Is there a single DNS I can point my VPN to, ensuring connectivity?

Thanks in advance
