Just installed Covenant Eyes and restarted computer now no internet

Hi. Installed Covenant Eyes on my partners computer last night and restarted this morning. Now we can not view any websites. The internet says it is connected fine by can not get any websites on Chrome or IE. Any help please let me know ASAP as we need the computer for work but really need porn blocked. Windows 10 on desktop computer. Android phones are working fine with the software.

Hello Jo,

Thank you for reaching out to us! If this is a fresh install of Covenant Eyes there are a few things you can check out first:

1. When you started up the computer did you see anything come up for Covenant Eyes, like a banner? Any sort of sign indicating that CE was now installed on the computer? If not it's possible that CE is not a start up program and it will need to be enabled as a start up program.

2. Do you see the Covenant Eyes icon in the bottom right-hand corner (by the date and time)? If you do see it, is the icon grayed out or is it blue? If it's grayed out click on it and select to sign in. After signing in see if you can browse to various websites

3.  Do you have any other filtering or accountability software installed on this computer? Covenant Eyes does not get along with other software that is meant to do the same thing. The other filtering software will need to be uninstalled.

Hi Annelise. I have restarted the computer 2 times and internet worked. Woke up this morning and resrted computer and again no internet. Restarted 6 times and only 6th time internet work. This is new since installing CE. No problem with internet before. Should I reinstall program? I can see icon in browser toolbar but not toolbar.

If you are running Windows 10, you need to be running the latest version 7.2.22. I have that running on my son's Windows 10 laptop, and it seems to be working well.

I apologize for the difficulties you've been experiencing. Gerry is correct, but my guess is that since you just installed Covenant Eyes two days again you're running our latest version 7.2.22.

My next suggestion would be contacting our Customer Service at your earliest convenience. We haven't run into many issues with our latest version not connecting after waking from sleep, so there might be something bigger going on to cause this.
