Is Covenant Eyes really working?

I just downloaded Covenant Eyes and am worried that it may not be working properly.... I logged into Covenant Eyes and it said that this was going to be my new browser for the IOS..... I am sure that browser works and won't let me open any questionable websites, but what if I continue using Safari. I purposely went to a site I know I shouldn't have, as a test, and it wasn't blocked at all... Will my accountability partner still be notified of the site I went to? I am hoping the answer is a resounding YES..... Otherwise, I am going to have a serious complaint with CE

Hello Dale,

Thank you for your post! How our current version of Covenant Eyes works is that the Covenant Eyes application becomes your browser, replacing Safari. Presently, if you continue using Safari, Covenant Eyes is unable to monitor and/or filter inside of the Safari browser due to Apple's limitations on accountability and filtering applications. All of this information is provided to our users on the page you had described alerting you that the Covenant Eyes browser is your new browser for iOS.

There are steps for restricting or "turning off" Safari within the settings directly on the iOS device. We would be more than happy to walk you through those steps or you can follow the directions in our iOS app support article

If you would like one of our Customer Service Representatives to walk you through setting up the restrictions feel free to call our Customer Service at your earliest convenience 877.479.1119.

Best regards,
