I use an Apple iPhone 4 and your software is virtually useless at protecting me. For your filtering and accountability to work I must be browsing the web in your app. Unfortunately your app is clunky and does not replace Safari effectively because it does not integrate into the rest of the phone. Additionally it is simple to bypass your app by going through the many other apps that can search the internet from the phone.... short of locking out Safari and the ability to install apps it is impossible to effectively hold accountability with your service for an iPhone.

You are right about the limitations of our app. In our user guide we write, "One of the shortfalls is that we are not able to monitor Safari, YouTube or other applications on the iPhone. So, in order to increase your level of accountability we recommend having your Accountability Partner set up your iPhone to use Appleā€™s 'Restrictions' feature. The two recommended options are disabling Safari and YouTube as well as disabling installation of additional applications."

Apple has limited what we can and cannot do with our app. This means all the app effectively monitors is its own Web browsing. This is as frustrating to us as it is to our members. But we figured it would be better to have an app that enabled some kind of accountability as opposed to having no app at all.
