IOS 9 Content Blocking

I was looking at details on content blocking in iOS 9 and thought that this might be a great way for Covenant Eyes to improve its usibility on iOS. I have had issues with the way the app interacts with the rest of iOS but it appears that with the new content blocking feature Covenant Eyes should be able to create basically a Safari Extension that can block content on the internet.

This is one of the articles that was more detail that I found on it https://www.hackingwithswift.com/safari-content-blocking-ios9.

Is this something you are currently working on or have looked into?

Hey Nathan,

Tough news about the content blocker, according to apple docs it requires managed devices, (essentially we would have to physically connect your device to a computer we own) which makes it unuseable for our purposes.

We do however, have some really cool stuff coming with network extensions in iOS 9, which will help extend our coverage beyond what it is currently.

Hi John! Any work on when we might see Covenant Eyes using the Network Extensions Framework? Does this mean that we could get accountability over traffic outside of the Covenant Eyes browser, or even the ability to use Safari (and ad-tracking blockers to speed up our phones!)?
