My internet activity has not been showing up in my covenant eyes logs or report for the past week. What is the problem?

Sam,

Hard to say what the problem is offhand. A few things that spring to mind are: Is Covenant Eyes currently installed on the device you are using? Are you signed in with the correct Covenant Eyes username? Have you tried basic troubleshooting like restarting the device (fully)?

If you can provide additional information about what type of device you are using and what changed before you stopped getting activity we can look deeper at what may be going on

Hi, Charity! Could you share with us what your operating system is (Windows 8, Mac - Mountain Lion, etc.) and what version of Covenant Eyes you're running?

Could you verify the full version number for us? For example, the current full release of Covenant Eyes for Windows is 5.0.4.280.

If you're not sure where to find it, in Windows 8 you need to open up your desktop.

Once there, in the lower right hand corner is the dock. The Covenant Eyes logo may be hidden, in which case you need to click the upward arrow to see hidden programs.



Once you see the Covenant Eyes logo, right click on it for a menu to appear.

On the menu, click 'About Covenant Eyes.' This window should pop up on your screen.



We need that full version number to be able to begin determining what might be causing the problem.

If you are not running 5.0.4.280 or higher then I would recommend updating to the most recent version as a first step in troubleshooting.

That CE version we have is 5.0.4.280.

Did you install any new software, update an anti-virus or anything like that around the time this started happening?

A couple of other things to try:
1. Check your Covenant Eyes username. 

This is just to be certain that a different one wasn't signed in by accident. If you don't want to sign out and in, you can do this by opening up "Show URL Logs" which includes the username just under the Covenant Eyes logo.

You can get to "Show URL Logs" through the same menu as "About Covenant Eyes."

2. Uninstall & Reinstall

This can often fix a problem in and of itself. 

You can also upgrade to our current Beta version (5.0.7.194), which is available on the downloads page as the second download option for Windows. Since you're already running 5.0.4.280, you don't have to uninstall to upgrade.
