Installing Covenant Eyes Blocks Application from Logging In

The fifth iteration of Street Fighter V, is unable to complete initial sign-in which renders the game unplayable (online play). Confirmed by uninstalling and installing to isolate it to Covenant Eyes installation.

Street Fighter V is made by Capcom.

I do not have filtering on, accountability only so, possibly related to DNS adapter settings? I really don't know, just taking shots in the dark.

Hi Byron,
If you're not running the Covenant Eyes filter, it usually comes down to finding the version of Covenant Eyes that is most compatible with all of the other software you use. Do you know what version of Covenant Eyes you are running? You can find this information by right clicking on the Covenant Eyes eye icon (found in the lower right hand corner of the task bar on Windows and the upper bar on Mac) and choose "About". If we have the version number you're currently experiencing issues with, we can find one that should work for you.

I ran the installer that I downloaded most recently; so it should be the latest version since the installer actually seems to download the latest version from online once you run it.

I will post and verify once I am back at the affected computer but it should be the most recent...

Hi Bryon,
Thanks for the follow up! The most recent version of Covenant Eyes is 6.0.16. If this is the version you're running, we have a Beta version we can help you download if you call us at 877-479-1119. If you have a different version, try uninstalling and reinstalling from the website with 6.0.16.

Awesome, the beta does fix the issue. If there are issues, should I report them in this particular thread or what's best?

You can comment on here if it's easiest for you! I'm connected directly to this thread so I get alerts when you post! If you have issues significantly in the future (more than a year), I'd call the customer support line (877-479-1119), but other than that, feel free to use this thread!

Updated and the issue occurs with 7.2.41

It didn't for 5.2.106 and 7.2.20 so I'm going to try using this 7.2.x installer I have on my hard drive...

This was resolved by installing 5.2.106. Peer 2 Peer connection were allowed within the application.

For those of you who might look at this thread, call support, they'll guide you to the login to download that older version.

I verified this is not an issue for Street Fighter V on 7.2.20

It might be fine on earlier builds since I saw "Steam" and other things mentioned in previous changelogs but I have only tested 5.2.106 and 7.2.20

For posterity updating this:

Had this occur after a Windows 10 deferred update went through, ended up reinstalling 7.2.20 and it's fine again. Tried a beta 7.3.3 or something and it didn't resolve the issue.

Thanks for the update Byron.

There are cases in which an older version, for whatever reason(s), works better than the newest version. But we always encourage people to give the newest one a try. If you'd like to try 7.3.8, it is available in the Downloads section of your account.

If you haven't already, you should run a malware cleaner like ADW. There could be an unwanted program that is contributing something to the problem.

Thanks for using CE!
