Ok I’m so confused. When getting reports I have normal activity but then there is a TON of “dns” websites under “web content” usually bit not always at night.
What are these? Is there a way to filter them out if it is just phone updates?(iPhone)
Thank you!

Colleen,

Thank you for your question, and I am sorry for the confusion.

The sites that start with “dns” do belong on the Accountability Report and are correctly classified as “Web Content.”

There are two main parts to the Covenant Eyes® for iPhone® app: the browser, and the VPN. The traditional detailed reporting comes from the browser. In the past, this was the only reporting available on iPhone®. The VPN is a new feature, added in 2017, which expanded accountability, and is an addition to the browser.

That designation of “dns” shows these sites were requested by some other app or browser (other than the Covenant Eyes® browser) on the phone. If this content flagged as Highly Mature (HM), it will show up on the report under “Mobile & tablet app activity.”

Web Content is a general term for any Internet activity monitored and reported by Covenant Eyes. It is the default label we give to any content not identifiable by another category. Perhaps this further explanation will be helpful: "What's the difference between Web Content, Viewed Pages, and Secondary Content?"

In summary, those links are valuable to have on the report, they reflect URL requests outside of the Covenant Eyes® browser, and they labeled are as “Web Content.”

I hope this helps!

Best regards,

Danny B.

That definitely helps thank you.
So then it is possible the app is suggesting/using it and not while actually “being used”?
Because otherwise it shows no sleep at all because there is always at least one entry.
