I keep getting the "Unfortunately, Covenant Eyes has stopped" error on my android phone. I noticed this week that I had no accountability email for my phone either. How do I fix it? I cannot remove it and try adding it again since I am the administrator.

Hello Bridgeman Family,
Thank you for reaching out! Can you perform the following steps to uninstall Covenant Eyes?

Uninstalling Covenant Eyes on Android:
  1. Click on the Covenant Eyes application to open it
  2. Choose the option titled "Uninstall"
  3. Covenant Eyes will then send a notification to your Accountability Partner, alerting him/her that you have uninstalled                                                                                                                                                                        > NOTE: If you don't have uninstall permissions, the Covenant Eyes app will ask for your Account Administrator's username and password before uninstalling

After uninstalling Covenant Eyes, re-install Covenant Eyes from Google Play.

I hope this helps,

Syd

I cannot.  The icon is still on my phone but I cannot open it.  It says the message, "Unfortunately, Covenant Eyes has stopped".  My account is also the administrator of our covenant eyes account so when I go to the app store and try to deactivate it will not let me either.  So basically I have it on my phone and am paying for the service, but cannot remove it to try and uninstall/reinstall

1. Open your Settings App and select "Lock Screen and Security"

2. Select "Other security settings"

3. Select "Device Admin apps"

4. Select Covenant Eyes

5. Select "Deactivate"

6. Go back to the first page of Settings, and select "Apps"

7. Find Covenant Eyes on the list of apps, click on Covenant Eyes, and then select "Uninstall"

My phone has Lock screen and Security as two different options under Settings (I have an android) and I cannot locate anything on either that looks like what you are showing me.  My phone is an older Android....maybe that is why?
I cannot get to device administrator anywhere

Do you have a search bar in your Settings app? If so, can you type in "Device Administrator"?

I found it.....just uninstalled it and will try to reinstall

If you need help installing, refer to this Support Article "How do I install Covenant Eyes on an Android device?"

No, you do not need to set yourself up as an Administrator.

It says it needs to manually activate 3 android devices to set up administrator.  My son is away at Boarding school and the school web protection won't work with covenant Eye so I had already uninstalled it from his Google Pixel phone....he is 10 hours away and I don't want to give him my password....and I don't want it installed on his phone right now.  How do I prevent this?
