Hi Solana,

Based on your concerns it sounds as if you and your husband may not be using the Covenant Eyes iPhone app exactly right. Let me ask you a couple questions, and I'll give you some information too.

First, is your husband exclusively using the Covenant Eyes browser to access the internet on his iPhone? Have you or his Accountability Partner restricted his ability to install another browser from the App Store on the iPhone? If he is using the Covenant Eyes browser to access the internet then it will not matter if he deletes the browsing history, that information will be stored on the Covenant Eyes servers which is where the Accountability Report gets the information from.

Read this article and watch the video for more information about using the Covenant Eyes iPhone app: http://www.covenanteyes.com/support-a...

Second, is your husband receiving his own Accountability Reports? More importantly, is he the ONLY person receiving his reports? If your concern about him deleting his emails is because he is deleting the reports then he needs to have another trusted, respected individual be his Accountability Partner. Unless your husband has access to that person's email then he won't be able to delete the Accountability Reports. Also, your husband's Accountability Partner can generate a report at any time at www.covenanteyes.com/myaccount, they just need to log in with their Accountability Partner username and password.

Here is a good article about finding an Accountability Partner: www.covenanteyes.com/2013/03/08/accou...

I hope this has been helpful. Hang in there, all is not lost and we are dedicated to helping you in any way we can.

Hi Chad. Could you tell me exactly how to restrict the ability to install an additional browser on the iPhone? I’m new to CE and still learning. Thank you

Hello Tammie,
Thank you for posting in this forum and for using Covenant Eyes. Here is a link to a support article and video that shows you how to enable restrictions:

http://www.covenanteyes.com/2016/07/25/how-to-use-parental-controls-on-the-iphone-ipad-and-ipod-touc...

Or follow these steps:

1. Go to the Settings App
2. Select "General"
3. Select "Restrictions"
4. Select "Enable Restrictions" at the top of the screen
5. Enter in a 4 digit pass code (this is what will protect restrictions from being altered)
6. Turn off the switch for Safari (which is Apple's built-in browser) installing apps, and in-app purchases
***So if the little toggle switch next to Safari, installing apps, and in-app purchases is WHITE, then you have disabled those settings.***

Best Regards,

Syd
