The covenant Eyes app is not shareable in the app store, I downloaded it on my phone, but now when I try to put it on my kids iPods it is greyed out and can't be downloaded, i think because they are part of my apple account.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there an easy solution without reseting their iPods and starting over?

Do you have age restrictions for apps enabled on their devices? Our app is rated 17+ so if the age restriction on the device is set below that, it won't let you install on their device.

The app is rated Age 17.  Is it your app restriction settings?  You may have to temporarily disable the app restrictions, install, then re-enable.

why is the app rated age 17?  I would prefer to set the applications my kids install to be less than age 17

The short version is: Because Apple said so.

The longer version is that we have applied for a lower rating in the past and have been denied. Apple considers Accountability (reporting without filtering) to be "unfiltered internet access" so the app must be rated 17+ under Apple's categories. It is unfortunate, but there is nothing we can do to change that for the time being.
