I've been using CE for about 3 years and have always struggled with how sites show up in searches. I recently searched "funny christian golf team names" for a golf outing I was playing in. 2 websites came up with very pornographic pictures that seemed to have matched my search. I clicked on them, not bowing the content...fortunately they were blocked. But this issue happens a lot to me. The sites aren't always porn, they maybe social media or other mature sites that aren't great. CE needs to flag those sites for us or allow us to have more detail about what those potential bad sites maybe.

Hello Matt,

Thank you for your post and I also commend you on your desire to be accountable online. How Covenant Eyes works within a search engine, like Google, is that we can see what term or phrase is searched for. This term or phrase is then rated based on what word or words were entered in. The unfortunate piece is that we cannot see the actual search results. We can see when you click on a result and get directed to a specific website, but we do not see the results too.

I can definitely pass along your concern/suggestion to our developers so they can look into implementing this improvement in future versions. In the meantime there is a way to enable a SafeSearch Filter feature within Google itself. If you would like directions on how to enable that feel free to contact me at annelise.h@covenanteyes.com and I can email those over to you.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact our Customer Service at 877.479.1119.

Best regards,
Annelise
