Google App Monitoring

Hopefully the screenshots post properly. Anyway, would it be possible to have Covenant Eyes monitor all web activity from the Google App? While using it if you click on the "Get Started" button, it opens up a screen that can take you to an unmonitored web browser within the Google App. The second screenshot is of the browser running within the Google app that gains access to the Google homepage and thus almost any site one could want.

Hello Bob,

Thank you for contacting us! With our latest version of our Android app, 2.9.9.86, we do have the capability to monitor any activity inside of the Google Search app. However, we've discovered the older the operating system on your phone, the more difficulty we might have monitoring Google Search and other apps. Our app does support Android 4.0 and higher, but due to 4.0 using accessibility differently than 5.0 and higher we have noticed inconsistency with monitoring apps like Google Search.

If you have any operating system updates available on your phone I would suggest running the update and see if the monitoring in Google Search improves. Another suggestion would be to utilize our app locking feature and lock down access to the Google Search app entirely and use your phone's browser to do any searching through.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact our Customer Service at 877.479.1119.

Best regards,
Annelise

Annelise,

Thank you for your reply. I looked in Covenant Eyes app blocker and noticed that the Google App was not an option to block. I have a Galaxy S7 running Android version 6.0.1. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob
