Galaxy Nexus Android Issue

Galaxy Nexus Android issue: After downloading the CE program for Android, I'm am asked to install the CE helper app. Tapping this, I am informed that I must go to my settings to allow for non-App Marketplace apps to be installed. At this point, the CE helper install screen continues to pop up, essentially blocking all other activity on the phone. Signing in or signing out makes no difference. Going to settings takes me back to the CE helper install screen, as does every other attempted action, or simply waiting 3 seconds. I'd like to have the app installed, obviously, but I can't do that or anything else with the phone until this gets solved.

Partial fix found: While stalled on the screen telling me I would either have to cancel the install or change settings, I backed out to the settings page by the normal route (not clicking on the settings option offered by the message). This gave me long enough to alter the app settings and allow the program to proceed. Seems to have fixed it, but I can imagine others falling into same sisyphean trial.

Also applies to Droid Razr and apparently all Android phones. I called CE and they talked me through it. The key is to break connection by going to AIRPLANE MODE, then it should allow you into your settings to allow non-Market Apps. Then, reboot your phone and finish the install.

Thank you for these replies Timothy and Andrew.

It should be pointed out for anyone reading this post before installing Covenant Eyes, that allowing the installation of Non-Market Apps before you install the Covenant Eyes app will prevent this issue from occurring.
