Final Nail!

Well, the steep downward slope of quality at CE (the app as opposed to the top-shelf customer service), has after 9 years come to the point to where it's time to say goodbye forever. It's sad that it has come to this. But the problems and bugs are just to many to bear with. Not to mention that CE and Macs just don't work together! I can't count how many totally clean websites I have been unable to sign up with because of CE!  How it has rendered my brand new MBP nearly inoperable and lost me hundreds of hours of work! You guys have all completely TANKED as an app but yet continued to set the standard for customer service. However, all the thousands of men I have recommended to CE over the years as a certified biblical counselor... no longer can I do so with confidence! Sad, just very sad. Maybe in the future when CE decides to invest in great software developers and software once again I will return.

Hello David,

Thank you for contacting us and I sincerely apologize for the difficulties you've been experiencing. It is not our goal for our software to be a severe hindrance to accomplishing every day tasks and we again would like to apologize.

In order to help our developers understand the issues you've been experiencing and to aid current and future users of Covenant Eyes, we were wondering if we could get some diagnostics from your computer. The diagnostics would be helpful to pinpoint what specifically the issue is or lead us in the direction of resolving it with future versions. If you would be willing to let us get these diagnostics feel free to send me an email at annelise.hoshal@covenanteyes.com and we can set up a time for me to get those diagnostics from your computer.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and again we apologize for difficulties you've been experiencing. If there is anything else we can assist you with please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
Annelise

I'm curious what you have your filter settings set to. I run Mac all the time, and I don't have any issues with Covenant Eyes creating a problem. I run on Mature Teen filter setting and as a graphic designer who uses the web a lot, I rarely run into an issue. I am on Sierra, with Version 2.8.8b20 of Covenant Eyes. I have a number of friends who use Mac as well with Covenant Eyes and I haven't heard of any issues. It seems like you have another issue going on...

@Llewellyn Martin: I suppose I will give it just one last try by setting to the Mature Teen. I am also a graphic artist (3D Animator and Modeler). I really DO hope this works as you say. Thank you for the suggestion. Lord bless you and happy designing. Cheers!

Because the Accountability software is by far the greatest benefit (and my Accountability Partners are good), I don't have filtering at all. I have separate Covenant Eyes usernames for my kids, who have both Accountability and Filtering. Also, Covenant Eyes enforces Safe Search on Google and similar search engines, so I haven't had any accidental exposures.
