Filter doesn't work on my Huawei

The filter does not work at all on my huawei P30 android phone.

I can have it turned on, and it will show up as monitoring activity, but it does not block any websites.

I have turned off the battery optimising option, so that is not the problem.

Is there any way to fix this?

Tomasz,

Thank you for reaching out. I’m glad you addressed the battery optimization settings, those tend to be the main culprit. There might be a few other items to check, like an antivirus app or the settings for the blue light filter, but, to be honest, Huawei and CE don’t seem to coexist well.

Compatibility issues on these devices is not unique to our app; check out these remarks from dontkillmyapp.com:
  • "On some phones with EMUI 9+ (Android P+) Huawei introduced a new task killer app called PowerGenie which kills everything not whitelisted by Huawei and does not give users any configuration options."
  • "Traditionally Huawei and their Android customization called EMUI belongs to the most troubled on the market with respect to non-standard background process limitations."

I can’t guarantee that a closer look at your situation will solve this. But if you’d like live troubleshooting assistance, then you have two options:

1. use our live chat feature (the blue chat button in the lower, right-hand corner of the main page), or

2. write to support@covenanteyes.com and ask them to arrange a call from Customer Service to you at your convenience.
