Does iOS CE Browser have to follow the system-wide Web restrictions?

Here's my ideal scenario.  I would like to be able to set the iPhone web restrictions to Specific Sites only, but be able to browse whatever on the CE browser.  This would essentially block any in-app browser from other apps, but I could still have monitored web access.

Now, I don't know if this is even allowed, or, in a way, desirable, because theoretically if the CE browser could essentially bypass the iPhone web restrictions, so could any other app, so my idea would be rendered useless.

Hey Chance,

I somehow missed this post, sorry about the delayed response.

Unfortunately you guessed correct, CE is subject to the laws that the iOS restrictions set. Put another way, whatever you set in the iOS restriction settings will trump anything in the CE browser. Unfortunately that means that this idea is not possible atm.

I know we have been quiet about iOS for a while, but rest assure that it is not forgotten on our end. There are a lot of politics involved in getting a better iOS solution out but we are still working on it.

Thanks for taking the time to post.
