Hi Gerry, Thanks for the post! AVG recently updated their white list to include Covenant Eyes, so we shouldn't be experiencing any conflicts with that antivirus. I would try uninstalling Covenant Eyes and seeing if the update manager can then activate. If that works and this is a Covenant Eyes - AVG interaction, it's highly unusual and we would love to speak to you to gather some more information about your system and Covenant Eyes settings so we can prevent this problem for others in the future.
