Although someone would need an uninstall code in order to uninstall the CE app from their android phone, I just sat and watched as someone deleted the app from their phone. How is th his possible? Isn't this the same as uninstalling?
By the way, I figured out the answer to this question. Since the CE app was deleted there has been no monitoring of any internet activity on the phone. I'm not quite sure why CE says it can't be uninstalled without a code when it can just be deleted and have the same effect. This is rather confusing.
Your instinct is correct, Covenant Eyes can be set up so that it is not easily uninstalled. However, due to Google's policies, unless a Username is labeled Restricted, it is a simple process to remove the CE app from an Android device. But don't forget, such a removal will automatically result in an email being sent to the Accountability Partner.
To figure out what happened in this particular case, we'd have to know more about the account/username and the device. If you need to dig into this some more, please call our Customer Service Team at 877-479-1119.
