custom block list not working

Trying to block specific sites for my family on MacBooks and Iphones. I put in the address in the custom block list, but then when I check the site to see if it is still accessible on different platforms, it is still accessible. So the custom block is not working. I have the latest of everything updated, the VPN configured... Why won't this feature work? definitely need it to for Covenant Eyes to be effective in our family.

One of the first things to check, when it comes to the custom block list, is refreshing CE on the different platforms. When a website is put on the list, My Account should display a green reminder that says something like "Don't forget to refresh the device(s)."  Refreshing is essentially telling CE on that device, "Hey, there are some new settings, please make sure you are using them."
