Rob,

Sorry to hear about this; I know it's annoying. Please call 877-479-1119 for the quickest solution.

A member of the Customer Service Team will talk you through shutting down the crash loop. And then he/she will turn his/her attention to the root cause. The root cause could be a bug in our software, but it could also be malware or a conflict with a different program on the computer.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. We look forward to ironing this out.

I have the same problem 9 months later. Is there a published solution? I can still browse the web. Is it a problem at all?

Michael,

Work on the proxy crash has been done since that time. So, the first step would be making sure the latest version is in place. As of today, the latest version of Covenant Eyes®  for Windows is 8.0.62.

The second step would be looking for something outside of the Covenant Eyes program that is causing the crash to happen. That could be malware or an aggressive antivirus program. To deal with malware, let me suggest running AdwCleaner. It has a great reputation and is free.

If your machine has an antivirus program, it's possible that it's looking at Covenant Eyes as an intruder. There is a way to deal with that - put it on the list of Exclusions/Exemptions, programs that are free to run without interference from the antivirus. Additional information about that is located in this article - https://www.covenanteyes.com/support-articles/does-covenant-eyes-conflict-with-other-programs/. But, if you prefer, you can certainly contact Customer Support via chat or phone (989-720-8000); anyone on the team will be glad to take a closer look at your situation.
