I know I am not the only one who desires a Covenant Eyes program for Android. A server side accountability program like CE has for the Desktop is especially needed since Iphone only allows filtered browsers and will never have a good solution. Please, Please, Please, make this a priority :) I love CE and want to see them as the first and best for an android solution.

X3watch is decent, but it has some flaws. I have notified the developers of that app, but if you guys beat them to it, it's fine with me. Their customer service isn't very responsive, so I don't know if they've even looked at the issues I presented, much less if they plan to fix them.

1. Words used in searches are not monitored, so image searches, although logged, are not flagged if they were for questionable images.

2. The Youtube app, which can't be removed without rooting, is not monitored.

3. Market searches are not monitored. Although apps downloaded are reported, it might be helpful for an accountability partner to know when a user is making sexually oriented searches (Some very indecent and provocative icons and screenshots accompany many "almost pornographic" apps).

4. There is no easy way to notify the developers about websites that should have been flagged, but were not.

Hello, everyone! As of today the official testing program for the first phase of our Android Accountability app is live! It's just a first step, but we here in the office are all excited to be seeing it go live :)

To learn more about the app and how to get involved, check out our Company Update - http://helpforum.covenanteyes.com/cov...

Is this app going to go live anytime soon? I have a Motorola Atrix that doesn't allow non-market apps, and I'm running into problems trying to root the phone so I can unlock non-market apps. Having an app widely available on the market would be helpful.

We have about 10 different users already testing with the Motorola Atrix on AT&T.

There are some device/OS combinations marketed by AT&T that don't allow non-market apps right out of the box.

AT&T has an update to remedy this. You can read more about it here:
http://www.androidcentral.com/att-con...

At the time that article was written, they were planning the update, but it has since been released.

We've have quite a few testers who have been able to contact AT&T and have them push the update to their device, and subsequently install our application without difficulty.

When we get the app to a full release, this will be a moot point as we will be putting it in the Android Market.

Thanks for the response, Dave. I installed the latest update, checked the box to authorize non-market apps and downloaded both CE apps. Thanks again!

Works pretty good for me, at least from a usability standpoint. I honestly haven't looked at the accountability logs, but I assume it's working from that end.

Have you guys come out with any updates for the android accountability software (i.e. when unistalling the app off the phone, the accountability partner would get a notification). Also, I know there is no definite answers as to when the full version is coming out, but is there any expect time ranges?
