No websites will load with ExpressVPN or NordVPN running?  What should I do?  Suggestions?  From what I read on other posts NordVPN was specifically said to be compatible.

Das,

It's possible that something changed in NordVPN since the compatibility testing was done.

I couldn't tell from your post, so I'll ask this, are you using both VPNs at the same time? If so, they will "fight" each other. I spoke with NordVPN and asked about having multiple VPNs. Their answer: "You can have multiple VPNs installed on one device, but you should never have them both connected at the same time." Rather than getting two layers of protection, you'll get two programs working against each other.

As an initial suggestion and for the sake of identifying the problem, I would remove Express or Nord. Some programs will have additional items bundled with the VPN. One of those additional items could be in conflict with Covenant Eyes and the conflict shows up as a connection issue.

Testing you could do on your own is to remove both VPNs, while leaving Covenant Eyes in place, and see if the sites load. You can also do the reverse, remove Covenant Eyes but leave one VPN in place and see if the sites load.

My final suggestion is to contact our Customer Service team via chat or at 989.720.8000. If chatting or calling won't work for you, you can use email (support@covenanteyes.com). Whichever route you decide to take, a member of the team can take a closer look at this situation.

Thanks for the response Robert.  I am not using both of them at the same time.  When I disconnect both VPNs the internet works fine, but when I connect either VPN internet stops working.  If I click a link for example, it appears like it is working, it begins to load the page, but the loading never completes.  I will uninstall both and then try reinstalling one at a time first I suppose.  The VPN was working fine before Covenant eyes so it is definitely some kind of compatibility issue.

I have a similar issue in that when Nord is turned on the CE stuff is completely bypassed and can still access sites i would expect/want to be blocked.

How ever with it turned off it seems to work fine.

Is the CE VPN secure in the sense of masking my traffic for public hotspots etc?

Also can I control which country it bounces from? We have a number of systems at work that only work if you are in the UK so when I travel I have to connect to a UK server to get access to them (eg timesheets)

Steve

PS this is on MAC OS Mojave

Steven,

Covenant Eyes for Mac does not employ a VPN. Internal testing with NordVPN did not reveal an incompatibility, but it's possible that something changed since the time the tests were done.

So, if your Mac is able, upgrade from Mojave to Catalina. I know that doing so solved some odd issues for another member.

I don't know if that'll solve this case, but it's worth a try.
