Over the last several months, I've noticed that covenant eyes has been crashing repeatedly. I was part of the beta program, so I opted out, uninstalled the program, and then reinstalled the stable release. It worked for a few days, and just today, the app started crashing.

It's fairly annoying. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, latest update on att

Hello Cy Shimizu,
     Thank you for reaching out! Here are some things to try on your device:
  1. Turn off power saving mode
  2. Remove phone carrier apps like Verizon Family Safety, Verizon Safe Wi-Fi, or any phone provider app using a VPN
  3. Remove screen tinting apps like Blue Light Filter, Twilight, or f.lux
  4. Remove task killer or antivirus apps like Norton Security or AVG AntiVirus
I hope this helps,

Syd

Hi Syd,

Thanks for the reply. Here's my response:

1. I have a Samsung device, and added Covenant Eyes to Unmonitored Apps, to prevent Samsung from putting the app to sleep;
2. I am on AT&T, and do not have any of these apps installed. The only VPN app I have is CE;
3. I do not have any screen tinting apps
4. I do not have any AV apps

It seems to me that the Android app is really unstable. Is there a solution forthcoming from CE?

Thanks.

Hi Cy,
    Thank you for reviewing my suggestions! If you are willing, try re-installing the beta version of the app. The beta version includes crash fixes and updates. I know you have installed the beta before, but I'd like to verify that this particular issue continues on the beta version.

I can confirm the issues mentioned above as beta-tester and I also have no VPN or screen tinting or AV  apps. It happened twice in the last 4 weeks. Only an uninstall could clear the problem. Annoying is that I have to reset the App Lock Settings again.
