Covenant Eyes conflicts with Steam gaming software

When launching steam, it gives a report saying
"An incompatible version of CovenatnEyesProxy.dll has been detected in the steam process" and it suggests updated my software. I have done so for both steam and Covenant Eyes, and some steam services run just fine. Some game services however are also blocked entirely, and without information.

I would like to be able to continue having my internet browsers filtered, but also be allowed to use these other gaming services.

I recognize that there exists the possibility of one bypassing filtering via similar services, as such I completely understand why they are being filtered. I would like some information about what I need to have my filter guardian whitelist so as not to block these other applications. I'm not sure if there is a way to filter on specific ports or protocols, but I imagine that's what the solution might look like.

FalseEcho,

Thanks for posting. Compatibility issues pop up from time-to-time, but I haven't heard of a recent conflict between Steam and Covenant Eyes.

For the fastest assistance, call the Customer Service team at 877-479-1119. But if you want to try one more thing on your own, then run a malware scanner. Malware can contribute to compatibility issues. A Customer Service rep can help you with that and check on other angles of your situation.

Thanks again for posting,

Robert
