I use the Chrome OS on my Chromebook laptop. I would like to install the software, but it hasn't yet been made available for my OS. Please help.

Gabriel,

Thanks for posting.

Currently we do not support Chromebooks and though they are very cool devices (i actually own one) it is exceedingly hard to tell when we will be able to support them.

Chromebooks do not actually have a traditional operating system for us to get hooks into, they function like a slightly more robust version of the Google Chrome web browser.

There IS some interesting development potential in the future however.  Google has mentioned that they would like to run Android Apps natively on their Chromebooks, which would allow our Android app to be used to protect your device. No timeline on when we could do this, but we are excited about the possibility

Hi there, It would appear that there are 4 or 5 Android Apss which now run on Chromebooks. Do you know if there any developments from CEon this?

Nothing from us at least,

There are indeed 4 or 5 apps that run on Chromebooks, but those are ones that have been granted special access directly from Google.

Put another way, it takes some kind of special invite to work on Chrome OS as an Android app for right now.

Assuming we eventually get permission/help migrating over I see no reason why we would not investigate it, but unfortunately we do not have that kind of access yet.

I'm still hoping for the best.

Hey John,
Unfortunately, there has not been any change on this front. I actually just recently replied to a similar Chromebook question. You can check it out at the link below.
