Attempting to install the latest version of Covenant Eyes, Chrome tells me that the executable is "malicious." I am concerned about installing the new version at this point, given that message.

Here are some screen captures showing the problem.

Hello Everyone!

There has been a bit of discussion on this and we appreciate that some of our awesome members have shared suggestions on how to complete the download. While these methods work, the one posted by A Google User is the quickest and easiest. I have put together a more comprehensive guide on that process. This guide covers how to download Covenant Eyes version for Windows with Chrome.

  • Click the DOWNLOAD NOW button at the top of the Downloads page.

  • Chrome will display a notification at the bottom left of the page stating that This file is malicious, and Chrome has blocked it.  Click the Dismiss button.

  • You will now need to open the Downloads tab in Chrome. You can get to it by hitting Ctrl+J or by clicking the Controls button in the upper right hand corner of Chrome (it looks like three lines) and then click the Downloads option.

  • In the downloads tab you will find a familiar red icon and message. Click the Recover malicious file link.

  • Chrome will display a message, inaccurately stating that the file will harm your computer. One of the options available highlights Google's sense of humor and will be the option we want. Please click Hurt me plenty.

  • At this point, the file will show up in the download tab as intended and ready to install.

Thanks for taking the time to read. Be safe out there!
