There are a couple of websites that I have to use for work that require a login and password in order to access the data.  The problem is, every so often, covenant eyes stops working with the website and SOMETIMES it will start working when I delete the app and reinstall.  It would be a whole lot easier to just delete the cookie then it is to track down the accountability partner and have them log in to my restrictions so I can download the app again.   There are no options to delete cookies or even to reset everything in the app.  When I said SOMETIMES earlier, it is because it now no longer works with a fresh install.   Something is saved that puts me in an endless login loop and I can not use my work websites AT ALL!!!  I NEED TO GET RID OF THAT COOKIE!!  It works fine on Safari and other browsers that give you that option!!!

Hi Shane,
Thanks for the question! Have you tried deleting the browsing history for the CE application when this problem arises? I believe that the application is designed so that deleting the browsing history will also clear any cookies.

Thanks for the quick reply, but I have done that multiple times....and have even deleted it as a bookmark, but it does not work.  It must NOT be deleting the cookie, or it would fix itself.

Shane,
I will speak with one of our iOS developers and get back to you as soon as possible.

Shane,
I was able to get some information from one of our iOS developers, however, I am still waiting on further explanation but I wanted to catch you up.  You are correct; deleting cookies in our iOS application is currently not an option.  When I hear more regarding if that's something they are adding in the future or if there are other things that you can do to resolve the issue. I will post as soon as I know.

Shane,
The iOS developers are currently working on a version of Covenant Eyes that will allow you to use the Safari browser and it is unlikely that a different update to Covenant Eyes will come out before then, and if it does, the ability to delete cookies won't be included.  Until the other version is completed to Apple's qualifications, there unfortunately isn't a permanent solution for this problem.

Is there any update to this issue? For several months now, I've been locked out of certain apps because I can't login to Facebook or Google to create an account. I just got a new phone today and can't use any Google apps because of this, so it's really crippling. Please help!

Hello Andrew,

Thank you for contacting us! We are much closer to releasing the new iOS app, closer than eight months ago when Samantha first responded. Our hope is to have this new version available by the end of the year. With that being said there could always be bugs or minor hiccups with the new app that will delay a release date, which is also why we haven’t given a specific date yet. Just be on the lookout for an email from us announcing any news about our new iOS app!

We look forward to providing you with a quality app that will expand the protection on iOS devices and in turn, will resolve the issue with being unable to delete cookies.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact Customer Service at 877.479.1119.

Best regards,
Annelise
