On my droid M with kitkat why does covenant eyes always show up when I press the "recent apps" button at the lower right?  No other app running in the background has this behavior and it's a little annoying.  I realize it has to be running all the time, but does the screen always need to be there?  Also, there appears to be a truncated menu option "show/hide covenant eyes icon in ..." and I don't know what it's supposed to do.  Toggling it has no effect that I can tell.  Thanks.

Hey Richard,

Thanks for taking the time to post.

According to our developers Covenant Eyes will always be listed as a recent app due to how it goes about checking your system to ensure that it is protecting you. Basically it frequently checks to see what apps are installed, status of the system, etc. This process requires a special kind of query which then prompts your phone to list Covenant Eyes as a recent app. I am unsure if it will always be like that but for now that is how it functions.

The show/hide icon functionality is limited to the small Covenant Eyes icon that appears up in the notification bar on your Android home screen. What should be happening is that if you toggle the option to hide, the tiny icon in the upper left corner will vanish.

Hopefully this helps.

This is new behaviour. This didn't happen to me until a few days ago. If it didn't do this before, why does it need to do it now? I also find this very Annoying. I'd prefer that covenant eyes would work in the background.
