CE preventing System Restore from completing

One of our church computers started having problems over the weekend. After a couple of hours of troubleshooting I was unable to figure out what the problem was so I decided to perform a System Restore back to the previous week when things worked correctly. System Restore does it's thing then states that it can't complete the restore. After three attempts to various restore points (each one I tried were removed when they failed) I finally received a more descriptive error message stating that it failed because it couldn't restore an Icon CE. Since the only program on the computer that has those initials I figure it must be Covenant Eyes. How do I perform a System Restore with CE installed? I considered uninstalling CD, but the restore point has CE installed which leads me to believe that won't help. I'm running out of restore points so I need to know if CE has a problem with System Restore and if so what is the correct procedure to perform the restore before I try again.

Hello Rev! I apologize for the problems you've been seeing, but our software package does protect against performing a system restore action. We found in the past that some users would perform a system restore in order to remove our software without generating an uninstall code, thus circumventing our software and bypassing accountability. For that reason we implemented this additional layer of security into our software-and I'm sorry it has given you issues here!

In order to get past this, simply uninstalling our software and performing the desired system restore should work properly. If you are unfamiliar with uninstalling our software you can find more information here: http://www.covenanteyes.com/support-articles/how-do-i-uninstall-covenant-eyes/, or you can inquire in another post on this forum thread if anything is unclear.
