I'm no longer finding covenant eyes in the google play store for android. Is this permanent? Or was it just taken down for technical reasons?

Chris,
Thanks for reaching out!
It is not permanent. There was a change in Google's policies, and we have filed the appropriate forms. We'll be back in the Play Store soon.
If you need to install CE, go to covenanteyes.com and login to your account. There is a copy of the CE app for Android in the Downloads section.
Thanks again,
Robert

If you're running Nougat, avoid that update like the plague! CE will pseudo-brick your phone with hanging, heat, and restarts. Maybe one of these days they'll actually get the fix out...If they're able.

Andrew,

Thanks for reaching out and we sympathize with your frustrations. Sometimes the customizable nature of Android presents a challenge. But in this case, Nougat itself has presented us with a few challenges.

Our developers have a beta version that targets the main issues. As you may or may not know, a beta is created to address specific issues and is rolled out in limited release. It can be further refined with feedback from beta users. Once it meets certain benchmarks, it is rolled out to all users. If you'd like to try it out, send an email to robert.b@covenanteyes.com

But is it a version that works, or locks?

Hello Andrew,
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, I can not definitively answer if the beta version of Covenant Eyes will run properly on your device. For some members, the beta version has proven to be a reliable fix for those running Android OS Nougat. We have not gotten a lot of feedback on the beta version, and are still trying to widen the pool of users to try to discern if it is a reliable fix. If you would like to try the beta version, feel free to email me at sydney.w@covenanteyes.com.

Also, if the beta version does not work on your device, our Customer Service team can help you install a non-beta-version of Covenant Eyes that was released in January, 2017.

Best Regards,

Syd
