On our traveling laptop the icon to sign in keeps disappearing from the lower right of the desktop and therefore we cannot sign in to the internet. This has been going on for two days.

Hi Me Ni,
Thanks for the post! A couple of different things can be happening that is making your Covenant Eyes software crash. To solve this issue, we'll need to know what version of Covenant Eyes you're running and what Anti Virus software you have loaded onto this computer.

Thanks!
Samantha

Hi Me Ni,
If you check the control panel under "programs and features", "add or remove a program" or "uninstall a program", Covenant Eyes should be listed with its version number. Alternatively, you can navigate to the C:, and, depending on your version of Covenant Eyes, there will be a CE folder in either just the Program Files folder or the Program Files folder AND the Program Files X86 folder. Once you find the CE folder that contains "Restart CE", run that, and that will put the eye back in the lower right hand corner. You can then right click on that eye and choose "about" to get the version number.

Sorry it took so long. The computer is now back and home and is working and the eye is there, but it always works here and this is the first time we've had a glitch on the road :/
Version is 6.0.16

Hi Me Ni,
Thanks for the response. Avast has been causing us all sorts of issues lately, so it would probably be helpful to configure it to Covenant Eyes. We can help you with that if you give us a call at 877-479-1119. Also, 6.0.16 is not the most up to date version of Covenant Eyes. 7.2.0 can be found for download when you sign into your account at covenanteyes.com and click on "downloads" from the left hand menu. Updating it will not solve your current issue, which is most likely the result of an interaction between Covenant Eyes and Avast, but it will provide better Accountability Reports, as well as other functionality updates.

Hope that helps!
Samantha
