Bring back URL analysis

I think it would be useful if, as a supplement to the image analysis that CE does, it could also look at URLs for objectionable material and report on that.

It doesn't sound very hard to implement - the program anyway captures the URLs (at least for browser) - so just scanning the URL for stuff wouldn't be a big jump at all and would capture things that might fall under the radar otherwise.

Hello AKA.
Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion. One of our goals for Screen Accountability was to get away from URL tracking and analysis and focus more on what actually showed on a member's screen. That being said, we have certainly heard from several of our members that they would be interested in a return of certain aspects of Internet Accountability. At this time I would be more than happy to share your feedback on this matter with our developers.

Thank you.

Hi Dan,

Yes- it's certainly a good to move away in general. But as a second line of defense it would be great and doesn't need to be too sophisticated either.

Just for the sake of clarity, you are now not monitoring anything outside of the CE browser again?

Mike,

On iPhones/iPads we are still monitoring URLs outside of the CE browser. When a URL is detected as one containing explicit/objectionable content, it is flagged and included in the Mobile Background Data section of the person's next report.

Within the CE browser for iOS we are capturing random screen shots.
