Are you planning to add adblocking to Covenant Eyes? And are there plans to be able to add multiple IP addresses or websites to allow and block sites at all at once?

I’d like this functionality too. However, you can get Weblock, which has a VPN mode or a WiFi-only proxy mode that can coexist with the CE VPN.

Kevin & Chance,

Thank you for asking and chiming in!

As far as the blocking of ads, some members of the Covenant Eyes community use AdBlock Plus. It works to block ads on desktops browsers and mobile browsers.

As far as the blocking of websites by Covenant Eyes, at this time, it is nuanced. On a computer, the lists of Blocked/Allowed sites give a member the ability to personalize the general filter setting that he/she has chosen. On a mobile device that type of customization is not available. With the latest version of Covenant Eyes for Android (4.0.0.26), all traffic on the Android device is routed through the servers of CleanBrowsing DNS. And CleanBrowsing will automatically block know porn sites. The Covenant Eyes iOS app provides filtering only in the CE app. Filtering outside of the CE app makes use of Apple's own Screen Time and Content Restrictions.

As we develop Screen Accountability, for computers and mobile devices, we will be using CleanBrowsing's ability to block those domains.Currently, development is in a very early stage of testing. But, we expect to move to beta testing soon. To learn more about that, go to this page.

Thanks again for asking questions and sharing your thoughts. All feedback is appreciated!

Robert
