1Password and LastPass on iOS

In one of the recent updates to the iOS apps, the description says that the CE browser now has 1Password and LastPass support. This sounds fantastic!

My understanding is that each of these apps, when installed on an iOS device, comes with an inbuilt browser. Is there a way to use these password managers without having a non-accountable browser installed on an iOS device?

Hello funkydan2,

Thank you for your question! First, you are correct the Covenant Eyes app can support LastPass and 1Password now! You would also be correct that these password managing apps come with their own built in browser. Presently, there is no user-friendly way to use these password managers without the built in browsers. While it is cumbersome you could go to lastpass.com or 1password.com to manage your passwords and forego using the apps.

We understand that this is not the most ideal situation and are working on new version that will be able to monitor activity outside of the Covenant Eyes browser. We hope to have this version available ASAP.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact our Customer Service at 877.479.1119.

Best regards,

Although CE monitors everything now, you may be happy to know that the latest Lastpass for iOS no longer has a browser. I think this is due to the fact that you can access Lastpass passwords more natively with Safari and also CE.
